     William Robert Bender married Annie Whitford Hughes, daughter of George R. Hughes and Annie Caroline Whitford. William Robert Bender was born in 1900. He died in 1977.

     Elizabeth Ann Whitford was born in 1828. She died on 1 December 1859. Her obituary read in part, "Died in this town on the 1st inst., Elizabeth Ann, only daughter of Mary J. and the late Hardy Whitford.
(The citizens of the town are invited to attend the funeral, this afternoon, at 3 o'clock, from the residence of her mother, on East Front Street.)
...Being from her earliest infancy delicately constituted, she was through childhood, nurtured by the fondness of a father's love; and when he had fallen, she had become so closely entwined around the hearts of a doting mother and brothers, that nought but Death could sever the tie. Always weak physically, she mingled but little in the world's gay and busy scenes; but endowed with more than an ordinary intellect, which she had enriched with much information, she sought pleasure and found it, in imparting instruction to the family circle. Yet all that's loved, though useful, must pass away; and the dread summons came when least expected...."^1,2

     As of 3 April 1793,her married name was Whitford. Holland Reel and John Whitford obtained a marriage license on 3 April 1793. Holland Reel married John Whitford, son of Martin Whitford and Mary Purifoy, on 11 April 1793.¹ Holland Reel died circa February 1839.

     Noah Cayton was born on 25 March 1844. He married Eudora A. Willis, daughter of Needham Willis and Julia E. Brock, on 22 November 1877 at Craven County, North Carolina. Noah Cayton died on 10 July 1900 at age 56.

     Alex A. Cayton was born on 22 January 1847. He married Julia Willis, daughter of Needham Willis and Julia E. Brock, on 10 March 1880. Alex A. Cayton died on 1 May 1927 at age 80.

     Cora Cayton was born on 17 March 1881. She married Theodore Daniel Willis, son of Hardy B. Willis and Louisa Laughinghouse, on 4 October 1904 at Craven County, North Carolina. Cora Cayton died on 25 June 1930 at age 49.

     Rosa Cayton married Charlie Heath. Rosa Cayton was born in 1884. She died in 1967.

     Nellie Cayton married Van B. Ipock. Nellie Cayton was born on 28 October 1889. She died on 12 December 1949 at age 60.

     Ida Cayton married Kitt Dennis. Ida Cayton was born circa 1892. She died in 1965.
