Benajah Caton

Benajah Caton was born in May 1806 at Craven County, North Carolina.1 He Feb. 1823 Craven Court--"Benajah Caton aged 16 years last May apprenticed to Benjamin Brinson to learn shoemaker's trade." in February 1823. He August 1824 Craven Court--"Indenture of Benajah Caton who was apprenticed to Benjamin Brinson is cancelled and said Benajah is to be apprenticed to James Caton to learn the cooper's trade, said orphan boy is 18 years old." in August 1824. He married Elisha (Alicia) Whitford, daughter of David Whitford and Nancy Stilley, on 18 September 1830. Benajah Caton died circa 1850.
